When every plan I made about my wedding day is completely disregarded. I absolutely despise that Kirk's family is this little wierd Mormon unit. That is the only thing I despise about his family though because they are ridiculously nice and it is next to impossible to hate them. Absolutely NOTHING can be an intimate affair when it comes to his family. It almost makes me ill. I like things low-key, I like to consume booze on special occasions such as weddings, barbeques, funerals and other fun activities like that. I am marrying a 34 year old man who still hides our beer when his family comes to vist. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? I dont know how to deal with this, at first it didnt bother me that his family belongs to a religious cult but, now it starting to dawn on me that his family is always going to be in the middle of our shit all the time. I absolutely will not tolerate this as I am a very private person and do not like my problems broadcast to an entire army. I have a feeling there are going to be problems already. I dont know what to do. I can feel my feet starting to get cold.

I think you should put your foot down. If he loves you enough to marry you, he needs to respect your wishes, as does his family. And he needs to realize that he's not going to be spending the rest of his life with his Mormon-unit of a family... he's going to be spending it with you.
I love you, Alex.
i would have to agree with Jamie! anyway the Mormon's sell the alcohol in Utah. lol Jamie!! But really beer? Alex your not Mormon right so you respect them for being Mormon, although I'm sure they don't follow ALL the rules. they need to respect you for not being Mormon.
Be good remember you are Marrying him not his family!
It's time for hubby to put on his big boy pants and stop being contradictory - I mean, it should be pretty obvious to his family that he doesn't exactly practice the Mormon faith. Unless Christian was a product of immaculate conception, there is a great possibility that you guys had unwed relations. I'm just sayin. Alex, you put up with a lot more than I would. I draw the line at religious cults. You know I'm not one to be a kissass or try to impress people, and I like to keep my household as jesus-free as possible. If you ever need a vacation, I'm here!!!!
I agree w/ the other 3... What kind of grown man hides his beer? It's 1 thing if you're in their house, it's another when you're on your own. Nothing wrong w/ being respectful of them, but they should be as tollerant w/ you as you are w/ them. Why shouldn't a person be able to do what they want in their own house? Why should you live a mormon life when you don't believe that way?
