One day....

I'm going to have to tell my kids, 'Daddy's a Republican, he doesnt know any better.'. If the McCain-Palin ticket wins the white house I'm moving to Canada or Europe and I will gladly forfeit my US Citizenship to live in a country where I can afford to feed my children and take them to a doctor without paying a ridiculous premium. Its really sad that a place that I have been proud to live for 23 years is turning into what seems like a post apocalyptic battlefield. When a working class family like mine who while President Clinton was in office, flourished. I remember those times and I miss them. I want my family to be secure. I want my family to be healthy. I think we deserve that as tax-paying Americans. If you are a middle class, low income or social security dependent family you should take a good hard look at what the next four years are going to be like if you vote to put John McCain and Sarah Palin in the White House.

So excited!!

We're having a little girl!! Yay!!! Yesterday was our ultrasound and it was so exciting! Our little girl is healthy and happy as a clam right now. We also got our due date pushed back to December 17th so, we're farther along than we thought. We also made sure our ultrasound tech triple-checked before telling us the gender of the baby. This time she was positive. We feel pretty positive about this one too. Our last ultrasounds were just the really short ones done in the doctors office and this time we actually went to the imaging place and had it done. We only got a few pictures since she was moving around so much. She definitely has her dad's feet and she's got my chin and lips. The Hanson chin is curse. So is the nose. Let's hope she doesn't get the schnoz. Thats all I got folks!

I'm going to go enjoy a celebratory bowl of froot loops while The Bear is cold passed out.

Well, fuck you too.

This week has been complete shit. Let me tell you why. For starters my crazy ass cat will not stop bringing critters into my clean, sanitary home. And by critters I mean the living and dead kind. Like, right now as I'm typing this there is a half-live bird in my bedroom. Since we moved into this house there has been a constant stream of snakes, moles, field mice and frogs left in my hallway, laundry room and bedroom. Also said cat who dont get me wrong is the sweetest most loyal creature I've ever owned has been tearing things apart lately like, my sons inflatable bathtub, his inflatable pool and my couch and mattress. She was cooped up in our house for nearly two months recently due to some health problems and I think she's punishing me.

I've been feeling pretty sluggish lately. I got food poisoning two weeks ago and my stomach still hasnt fully recovered. On tuesday, some teenage punk came flying around the corner in his shitty honda accord and almost fucking hit me. I told him to slow down and he called me a 'fucking fat bitch'. I'm fat because I'm pregnant you motherfucker and I hope I see you again when I'm not pregnant so I can teach you a fucking lesson about respecting your elders. Actually I hope he gets in a very serious car accident and loses use of his legs. When that happens and I see him crossing the street in his wheelchair I'm going to speed up and scare the shit out of him. Then when he tells me to slow down I'm going to call him a 'fucking cripple'. A girl can dream.

What's a good substitution for a really strong gin and tonic? I need one, desperately.

Let's hope they get it right.

We have our first ultrasound on Monday kids. I'm kinda skeptical because I've been failed in the past. Place your bets!

Like we always do about this time

So first off, I've been busy folks. Even though maybe like three people ever freaking look at this. This year has really flown by. Christian is getting bigger and bigger each day and learning everything so fast. Kirk and I are happy and still very much in love. We are expecting little one number 2 in december! WooHoo! My 23rd birthday was last month and even Steph made a special trip from Virginia to come spend it with us. Also, Kirks youngest brother Chris got married to his longtime girlfriend Roxy last month too! Their wedding was beautiful and Kirk and I had both had the honor of being in the wedding party. It was stressful and hectic but a very memorable experience.

I really should start keeping a notepad around because I had a ton more to write about. Now I'm sitting here racking my brain for some quality material. Maybe I'll invest in some post its, it might make this blog more entertaining to read. Keep it real loyal readers (all three of you).

Does anyone do pro bono dental work?

My teeth are in bad shape and my insurance will not cover even a quarter of the expense. So if anyone knows a dentist around these parts willing to sacrifice some hours filling my teeth I would be eternally grateful.

I could have used a new blender....

So for our wedding Kirks parents gave us these financial planning classes to go to. Sounds good in theory right? Wrong. What Kirk's parents neglected to tell us was that these classes are based upon 'The Christian way of Life", like about how " a good christian is supposed to tithe a certain amount of money to the church, etc etc...". Kirk's dad even sold my mom on this shit and told her that Kirks sister and her husband took it and now they save so much money every year. Basically this whole class is common sense. Set a budget. Dont spend more than you make. Have 'Emergency Funding' in the bank at all times. The same shit your parents told you when you moved out. I feel fucking bamboozled. Its like they're trying to brainwash me. Fortunately, I'm not easily persuaded by anything and I'm way too fucking intelligent to follow them down their happy path of righteousness. Jeebus.

In other news, the kid is getting teeth and still wont sleep through the night and I'm selling a size 4 wedding gown, an ipod nano, two COACH bags and a coffee table if anyone is interested. Peace and Bacon grease.

I really love it...

When every plan I made about my wedding day is completely disregarded. I absolutely despise that Kirk's family is this little wierd Mormon unit. That is the only thing I despise about his family though because they are ridiculously nice and it is next to impossible to hate them. Absolutely NOTHING can be an intimate affair when it comes to his family. It almost makes me ill. I like things low-key, I like to consume booze on special occasions such as weddings, barbeques, funerals and other fun activities like that. I am marrying a 34 year old man who still hides our beer when his family comes to vist. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? I dont know how to deal with this, at first it didnt bother me that his family belongs to a religious cult but, now it starting to dawn on me that his family is always going to be in the middle of our shit all the time. I absolutely will not tolerate this as I am a very private person and do not like my problems broadcast to an entire army. I have a feeling there are going to be problems already. I dont know what to do. I can feel my feet starting to get cold.

That poor little dog.

This is his green puppy. Apparently it is delicious.

Since I last posted....

  • I weathered nine months of pregnancy sucessfully. I gave birth to my son Christian Lawrence Miller on October 12th, 2007. He is beautiful, wonderful and amazing.
  • Became happily engaged to Kirk. We are getting married on Feb. 2nd, 2008. I will post pictures
  • Survived the holidays in both Oregon and Washington with only minor mental breakdowns.
  • Had a lovely Christmas with my new family.
  • Recovered from a C-section.
  • Made nearly homemade brith announcements.
  • Started new relationships with long lost family members.

All in all, its been a crazy four months. I wouldnt trade it for anything though. I feel very blessed to have so much support all around me. I couldnt have done any of this without my friends and family.

So....

Things that have been pretty cool lately...

Superbad. If you havent seen it you should be hit...hard.
Morphine. It sure helps when you cant move due to crippling muscle pain.
Antacids(Any form). Taste like chalk but cool the burn considerably.
Mild Weather. I love that it's 60 degrees in mid August.

Ten weeks to go.

I am so ready to do this! Being huge and miserable really sucks.

Tuesday, August 7, 2007

Do it. I dare you.

If one more person greets me with "Geez, you look like you're about to pop!" I'm going to pop them.

Howdy Folks.

I have been moving. Finally painted and got our bed in here. We actually slept in the new house last night and it was nice. Work has been good. Being pregnant still stinks. Its been wicked humid and hot so I've been MISERABLE and swollen. I wish I had some friends around here still so I could show off my new cute house. My mom painted the nursery this past weekend and it looks absolutely adorable. That woman is a mastermind. I am totally rambling.

Leave me alone.

Yes, I'm pregnant. Its a girl. Her name is Cameron Marie. No, you cant touch my stomach. She is due October 19th, 2007. I feel fine. No, I dont have morning sickness or bizarre food cravings. I realize that my feet are swollen, thank you for noticing. If you have never been pregnant or had children please keep your advice to yourself. The next person who tells me to have a c-section because "its so much easier than vaginal birth" is going to get hit. Thats a bunch of bullshit. I will be seven months this week and as of July 19th, I will only have three more months left of this. The home stretch.
